Trading cryptocurrency — including the non-leveraged, spot market-making strategies offered on FlinkTrade — is speculative and involves a substantial risk of loss. You may lose some or all of the funds you allocate to a bot. Only allocate funds you can afford to lose entirely without affecting your financial wellbeing.
The bots currently offered on FlinkTrade trade spot — they do not use margin or leverage, and only ever trade with the balance actually available in your connected exchange account. This means you cannot lose more than the funds you've allocated to a bot on that exchange. It does not mean trading is risk-free: adverse price moves, exchange fees, and slippage can still produce a net loss on any given trade or over any given period.
Each bot operates on a fixed strategy and statistical assumptions that may not perform as expected in future market conditions. Software bugs, data feed interruptions, network outages, or exchange-side issues may cause a bot to behave unexpectedly, place unintended orders, or fail to execute or close trades when it should.
Past performance of any bot — whether in paper trading or live trading — is not indicative of future results. The paper trading results shown on our performance page were generated in simulated conditions using real market prices, and may not be achievable with real funds under all market conditions.
Fee and slippage figures we record and display for a trade are calculated using the price and fee-schedule data available to us at the time. Depending on the exchange and the specific integration in use, this may be a good-faith estimate derived from that exchange's published rate schedule rather than a fee amount the exchange has separately confirmed for that specific trade, and slippage may not be separately measured on every leg of every trade. We work to make these figures as accurate as possible and improve them as our exchange integrations mature, but you should not treat a displayed fee, slippage, or P&L figure as an exchange-certified statement.
We strongly recommend using paper trading mode for a minimum of several weeks before switching to live trading. This lets you observe a bot's behaviour across different market conditions without risking real funds.
